no chip, crack, or peel guarantee

One of Rhino Shield’s most valuable features is its 25-year warranty against chipping, cracking, and peeling. If the coating experiences any of these issues due to a material defect, Rhino Shield will provide replacement materials and cover labor costs through Rhino Shield Florida.

How It Works:

  • Material Coverage: If chipping, cracking, or peeling occurs due to a material defect, Rhino Shield will supply the necessary coating materials at no cost.
  • Labor Coverage: Rhino Shield Jacksonville will cover the service labor required for repairs, ensuring a seamless restoration process.

Why It Matters:

Unlike traditional exterior paints that need frequent repainting, Rhino Shield’s advanced ceramic formula forms a thick, weatherproof layer that adheres firmly to your home’s surface, even in extreme weather conditions.

addressing fading

Fading is a natural process caused by long-term exposure to sunlight, weathering, and environmental factors. While Rhino Shield’s premium pigments are engineered for superior UV resistance, some fading over time is expected.

What You Can Expect:

  • Normal Fading: Gradual color fading is considered a natural aging process and is not covered under the warranty. This applies to all exterior coatings, including Rhino Shield.
  • Reduced Fading with Rhino Shield: Compared to standard exterior paints, Rhino Shield resists fading much longer due to its UV-blocking properties and high-grade pigments.
  • Maintenance Tip: To keep your Rhino Shield coating looking fresh, perform annual cleaning to remove dirt, debris, and surface buildup.
  • When choosing colors we recommend choosing a color over 60 LRV (light reflectivity value) which helps drastically reduce the long term effects of fading

examples of things "not covered"

While Rhino Shield offers one of the best warranties in the industry, certain conditions and applications are not covered. Here are some common exclusions:

Excluded Applications:

  • Log Homes: Due to unique challenges with surface stability, log homes and log siding are not covered.
  • Horizontal Surfaces: This includes shutters, gutters, pergolas, fences, windowsills, walking surfaces, and railings, which experience increased wear from foot traffic, water pooling, and weather exposure.

Environmental and Structural Exclusions:

  • Acts of God: Natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes.
  • Structural Movement: Damage caused by settling, shifting, or structural defects.
  • Pre-Existing Conditions: Issues like rust, wood rot, water intrusion, or substrate failure that existed before application. For example, if we replace rotted would before application and it comes back after, that is not covered.

Service and Warranty Claim Process

If you encounter an issue with your Rhino Shield coating that you believe is covered under the warranty, follow these steps to file a warranty claim::

How to File a Warranty Claim:

What Happens Next:

  • If approved, Rhino Shield will supply replacement materials at no cost, and Rhino Shield Jacksonville will handle labor for repairs.
  • If the issue isn’t covered, we’ll provide recommendations for repairs at the homeowner’s expense.

Warranty Transferability

One of the most unique features of the Rhino Shield warranty is that it’s fully transferable. If you sell your home, the warranty can be transferred to the new homeowner, providing peace of mind and added resale value.

Why Transferability Matters:

  • Increased Home Value: Buyers may be more interested in purchasing a home with a long-term, transferable exterior coating warranty.
  • Added Security: New homeowners gain peace of mind knowing that the home’s exterior is protected for the remaining warranty period.

How to Transfer the Warranty:

  • Notify Rhino Shield Florida: Submit a written notice within 60 days of the title transfer.
  • Provide Required Documents: Include the original warranty registration and proof of transfer to the new homeowner.
